Waste Sludge Dewatering Equipment shipped to Environmental Company

A set of Dewatering decanter Centrifuge, a Screw Press Dewatering Machine, and a Chemical Dosing Unit is designed and made for an environmental Company. The dewatering treatment will be used to treat waste slurry generated from industries.

The decanter centrifuge is a 2-phase centrifuge for liquid and solids separation. The chemical dosing system is a 3-compartment chemical dosing unit for automatic chemical mixing and dosing. There are agitators equipped on each tank compartment. It is mainly used for powder chemical mixing and dosing. Mostly, the powder chemical cannot be used immediately once it is mixed. As this reason, the 1st compartment is used to mixing chemicals. The 2nd compartment is waiting for use, normally, it takes around 20 ~ 30 minutes. After the chemical mixture is ready for use, it will flow to the 3rd compartment. There are chemical dosing pump equipped on the 3rd tank compartment. The ready chemical mixture will be feeding to decanter centrifuge.

The equipped used for this project is a 14 inch decanter centrifuge. Besides 14 inch decanter centrifuge, GN Solids Control can also make other big bowl size and small bowl size decanter centrifuge, like 9 inch, 18 inch, 22 inch and the big bowl up to 30 inch.

Besides the 3-compartment automatic chemical dosing unit, GN Solids Control also make various sizes of chemical dosing units for liquid chemical mixing and dosing.

2021.10.30 Dewatering Centrifuge

There are normally 3 types of chemicals used for waste slurry treatment which is with oil. The operators choose the right types based on the sludge material situation.
1) Sludge separating agent or surfactant: It is mainly used for oil sludge separation. It can improve the separation performance of the oil sludge
2) Demulsifier: remove the oil and water in the emulsified oil-water mixture
3) Flocculant (PAM) or coagulant (PAC) : for ultra fine solids separation.It can be used for both oil sludge with oil and without oil. If the operators already dosed demulsifier, they should consider and calculate carefully to see if they need to add PAM / PAC or not. As demulsifier is to make oil, water and solids separated. But PAM / PAC is for flocculation. PAM / PAC will reduce the demuisifier performance and to make the oil, water and soil mixture again.

In some projects, acid or alkali will be dosed as the first step to balance the PH. If operators need to add acid or alkali, it is normally added before other chemical agents. The suitable PH can improve separation performance in some degree, but not much.

Drilling Rig Solids Control Equipment shipped to Oilfield Service Company

The Qty 4 shale shaker is a 4-panel linear motion single deck with composite frame pretension screens. The model of the shale shaker is GNZS594F. GNZS594 is the most popular shaker model made by GN Solids Control. 2021.11.18 Shale Shaker

The mud cleaner in the shipment is GNZJ594F-3S16N for deep drilling. There are 4 nos of 10inch desander cone and 16 nos of 4 inch desilter cones included in the mud cleaner. Total handling capacity of the mud cleaner can be up to 1500GPM. It is a 3-in-1 combo type shale shaker C/W desander cleaner and desilter cleaner. The hydrocyclone unit is fixed to shale shaker deck by bolts and nuts. It is removable. In this condition, the combo type mud cleaner is capacity to be used as a normal type shale shaker.

2021.11.18 Decanter Centrifuge

Decanter centrifuge included in the shipment is GNLW454ET-VFD. It is a VFD centrifuge with high G force and big bowl for waste management to remove the fine solids. The decanter centrifuge is not the popular type for drilling mud treatment. GN Solids Control makes other decanter centrifuge models for drilling mud treatment. GNLW363C and GNLW452 are the 2 most popular decanter centrifuge serials for drilling mud treatment. GN Solids Control is capacity to make fixed speed decanter centrifuge, VFD centrifuge, as well as FHD centrifuge. In fact, vertical cuttings dryer is not recommended to treat the solids discharge from centrifuge separators. As all centrifuges are for fine solids separation. The solids enter into centrifuge much with less 15% solids content. And the max. Particle size should be smaller than 2mm.

While the screen basket of vertical cuttings dryer screen opening is 0.5mm or 0.35mm.There are fewer solids can be removed from decanter centrifuge discharged solids.

High G dryer shaker is also called as cuttings dryer. GN High G Force Drying shaker is design for primary solids control and drying the cuttings from the primary solids control equipments, recover silts and ultra-fine sands, provide solids in a consistently stackable and conveyable form and requires no expensive chemicals or polymers. GN high G drying Shaker with Adjustable G force Up to 8.0 G. It can be used for both OBM and WBM cuttings. While used for OBM treatment, the oil on the cuttings (OOC) can be be lower as vertical cuttings dryer. But its cost is much lower than vertical cuttings dryer.

GN Solids Control has 3 models solids and sludge vacuum transfer pump: GNSP-40B, GNSP-20B, and GNSP-10B. GNSP-40B is a large model with mounting skid. GNSP-20B and GNSP-10B are portable models with tires for easy movement.

2020.10.16 Sludge Vacuum Pump

GN vacuum pump is specially designed for long distance solids and sludge transfer. In order to ensure the pump can meet clients working situation and can solve their issues, before order, GN Solids Control sales engineers will send a questions list about vacuum pump. Clients are requested to answer as more as they can to let GN know more about their jobsite and their demands. Then GN engineer will see if the pump can suit the applications.

The pump is 100% driven by air. Clients also need to pay attention on the air supply, and compare which pump model they can have qualified air supplier. Clients can feed air from rig or from other air supplier, or by separate an air compressor.

Actually, GN Solids Control usually ask two typical questions to make sure the vacuum pump is suitable to use:
1.  Where does the material originally come from? If there are big stones or aggregates, the pump will not work.
2.  What’s the height between the suction port and material? Should be within 8 meters in order to work, otherwise need to lower the pump.  But the transfer length can up to 500m or 1000m.

Solids and sludge vacuum pump is one of the major transfer equipment designed and made by GN Solids Control. 2020.10.16 Sludge Vacuum Pump

GN Solids Control solids and sludge vacuum pump is max. 8m vertical lifting height for suction as the limitation of air supplier. But the discharge distance can up to 500m.

While use for big size crude oil tanks, there are many crude oil tanks are very big size, the tank height is over 20m and over 30m. It is over the vauum pump suction height. What our other clients do is to put the vacuum pump inside the tank, they find a place inside the tank and fix the pump inside crude oil tank. In this case, they can reduce the suction height to not more than 8m.

Another way some clients may do is to insert the suction hose via the holes on the tank wall rather than from tank top to make the suction height less than 8m.

The auger cover can be supplied with GRP Grating or metal plate per clients request.

Plus, GN Solids Control is capacity to make CNEX / ATEX / IECEX DOL Starter for screw conveyor motors. The motor start control panel can be equipped with emergency stop, grab wire all along the auger length.

One of the additional safety feature is Audio / visual alarm system:

Audio / visual alarm system on auger control panel which will be automatically activated once the power is switched on followed by the actual auger startup with a safety delay time. Audio / visual alarm system to be in the OFF mode after some time once the auger starts operation.

2020.12.02 Dewatering Centrifuge-GNLW224EP-VFD

The 9 inch centrifuge is a mini size decanter centrifuge. It is also called as baby centrifuge. The 9 inch centrifuge is normally used in mining slurry treatment. It is also widely used for diamond drilling in the solids removal plant.

14 inch decanter centrifuge is widely used in oil and non-oil drilling field for drilling mud treatment. It is the most popular size for drilling mud treatment. There are fixed speed control, VFD control and FHD control for the 14 inch decanter centrifuge.

There are high speed and middle speed 14 inch decanter centrifuge. Clients can use VFD control or FHD control to change the centrifuge speed. For the fixed speed decanter centrifuge, clients can use different sizes pulley and belt to change speed. The middle speed centrifuge generates low G force for high gravity separation, like barite recovery. 1) It includes 3 ea GNLW224EP-VFD decanter centrifuge. It is a 9 inch bowl mini size decanter centrifuge, and it is also the smallest centrifuge model made by GN Solids Control.

GN Solids Control 9 inch decanter centrifuge is widely used for Industry Waste Water Treatment and for Diamond Core Drilling Fluids Treatment. The max. speed of the 9 inch decanter centrifuge is up to 5000GPM, and the typical speed can reach up to 4500 RPM. A VFD control panel is equipped for the high speed centrifuge to adjust the working speed from 0 to 4500 RPM. Clients can choose the suitable bowl speed and conveyor speed per material situation and to reach the best separation performance.

2) 3 packages of dewatering tank. The centrifuge feeding screw pump is equipped on each tank for compact design. The wetted parts of the feeding screw pump is made from wearing resistance material for long lifetime. The tank package can also be used as Dilution tank and self-priming centrate pump for the high speed decanter centrifuge.

3) A chemical dosing unit is equipped for the 3 ea high speed decanter centrifuge and the 3 dewatering tank units. All tanks, pipelines and internal plumbing are fabricated from 304 Stainless Steel. The chemical dosing unit is equipped with necessary dosing pumps, backup pumps, stainless steel agitators,Screw Conveyor for feeding powder chemicals, etc…

The chemical dosing unit capacity is designed and made to supply chemicals for the 3 decantering centrifuge unit. When the feeding screw pump suck slurry from the tank, chemical dosing unit will enhance chemicals into the feeding pipe. Slurry and chemicals will mixing and react at the feeding pipe before enter into decanter centrifuge.
