7500BBL Liquid mud plant for South America

In October, a set of 7500bbl liquid mud plant was delivered from GN Solids Control headquarter in Beijing. The 7500bbl liquid mud plant is only a part of a 30000 BBL big projects.

The 7500bbl liquid mud plant is composed of below items:
1) Quantity 14 vertical storage tank for water, brine and drilling mud storage.

The usable capacity of each vertical tank is 500bbl. Total usable volume of the 14 vertical storage tank is 7000bbl. The 14 ea vertical mud tank is located in 2 lines for a minimized footprint. Compared with traditional horizontal mud tank, vertical tank can save space greatly.

The 14 vertical storage tanks are all designed with magnetic flap level gauges to measure and display the liquid level. On the other side of the storage tank, a horizontal placement is designed. When the storage tank needs to be placed horizontally, the horizontal placement can ensure the stability of the storage tank. Centrifugal pump can be used to suck and discharge drilling mud from the storage tank, or to suck the mud from the mixing tank.

2) 500BBL horizontal mixing tank
The mixing tank contains two sets of non-interference mud mixing system, which are powered by two independent submersible slurry pumps. When one pump fails, the other submersible slurry pump can be easily switched to avoid downtime.

The mixing tank adopts 2 sets of two-impeller mud agitators to prevent the drilling mud from sedimentation. In addition, it is also equipped with 2 mud guns for fixed-point flushing of the corners of the tank.
The top of the mud tank is made of mesh board. This 500BBL mixing tank adopts a skid-mounted structure, with a small rectangular size, and can be moved by a flatbed truck.

Drilling waste vertical cuttings dryer package for oil base mud and cuttings

GN Solids Control waste management vertical cuttings dryer is specially designed for oi base mud and oil base drilling cuttings. Before enter into GN Solids Control vertical cuttings, the oil on the cuttings is around 15% ~ 20%. It is very liquidable. It is difficult for transportation. And very high cost and low efficiency if feed into thermal desorption unit directly.

GN vertical cuttings dryer can reduce the oil on the cuttings from 15% ~ 20% to 3% ~ 5%. Sometimes the OOC is even less than 3%. The discharged solids phase is much easier for transportation. The recovered drilling fluids can be reused and it is valuable. It saves clients mud cost. With less than 5% OOC, the drilling cuttings can be discharged directly, or covered by cement or do solidification treatment. Even if they need to be treated by thermal desorption unit or by Microbial treatment, it is much small volume.

GN Solids Control uses German Brand NETZSCH pump as flush pump for the vertical cuttings dryer. Gearbox of the screw pump is also German brand NORD.

GN Solids Control makes telescopic skid to hold the vertical cuttings dryer. It makes the solids discharged fluently, and the liquid can flow into decanter centrifuge for next stage separation by grave. It save a middle transfer tank, and saves a transfer pump.

GN Solids Control can also offer 0.5 Ton Hand chain hoist for operators to change screen basket. The Hand chain hoist is fixed on the telescopic. There are foldable walkways and guardrails on the skid itself. For inland shipment, clients do not need to remove the vertical cuttings dryer, just fall down the legs of the skid, and fold the guardrails.

GN Solids Control makes various sizes screw conveyor under shale shaker to collect drilling cuttings and feed to the dryer. And there will be another vertical cuttings dryer to transfer the solids from vertical cuttings dryer to other solids skips.

Decanter centrifuge unit for drill cuttings and waste water treatment

During oil base mud and drill cuttings treatment process, high speed decanter centrifuges should be used after vertical cuttings dryer to reduce the mud weight, and make the drilling mud satisfied for reuse.

Recently, GN Solids Control made a small decanter centrifuge test unit for a mud services company to offshore drilling mud treatment. The centrifuge model is GNLW224EP-VFD. It is located on a telescopic skid. The skid is capacity to put a cutting skips under it for holding the recovered drilling mud.

GN Solids Control is capable to make various sizes of decanter centrifuge to meet different job sites request. Below are some high speed decanter centrifuge models GN Solids Control can make:

1) 9 inch. It is the smallest size decanter centrifuge mainly used for waste water and slurry treatment. Per bowl diameter and length ratio, GN offers GNLW223 and GNLW224 series. With fixed speed and VFD control for optional.

2) 14 inch. It is the most popular size for oil gas drilling to treat the drilling mud and drilling cuttings. And the centrifuge can be fixed speed control, VFD control or FHD control to suit for various applications. The major model is GNLW363 series with different speed and control panel designs.

3) 18 inch. It is a kind of big bowl centrifuge for fine solids separation and waste treatment. It is also popular used in oil and gas drilling and other kinds of drilling mud processing. It must be VFD control or FHD control for 18 inch big bowl centrifuge as the big motor power. Per bowl diameter and length ratio, GN offers GNLW453 and GNLW454 series.

4) 22 inch. It is a kind of big bowl centrifuge for fine solids separation and waste treatment. It is also popular used in oil and gas drilling and other kinds of drilling mud processing. It must be VFD control for 22 inch big bowl centrifuge as the big motor power. Per bowl diameter and length ratio, GN offers GNLW553 and GNLW554 series.

5) 30 inch. The centrifuge model is GNLW764 series. It is the largest side decanter centrifuge made by GN Solids Control. It is mainly used for slurry treatment for mining, construction waste water, or other industry waste water treatment applications. GN Solids Control can make automatic lubricating system for the largest big bowl centrifuge to user friendly.

Screw Press Sludge Dewatering Machine for food industry in Asia

Recently, a set of Screw Press Sludge Dewatering Machine and a chemical dosing unit were ready for assembly and test in GN Solids Control factory. The screw press sludge dewatering machie and the chemical dosing unit will be sent to a food factory in Southeast Asia for industry waste water treatment.

Recently, two small Screw Press Sludge Dewatering Machine made by GN Solids Control supporting flocculation dosing systems were sold to Southeast Asia and used for wastewater treatment in food factories.

GN Screw Press Sludge Dewatering Machine is an economical and environmentally friendly equipment for sludge dewatering treatment. Centrifuge separation for slop oil treatment system

Many clients contacted GN Solids Control to looking at waste management system that can process Slop Oily Water volume from tanks on FPSOs (floating products solutions), from oil and gas drilling tank cleaning, tank bottom sludge, oil sludge waste pit, etc…There may be crude oil, water, and solids inside the oil sludge.

GN Solids Control makes slop oil treatment system with capacity 1~2 m3 / hr, 5 m3 / hr, and 15 m3 / hr. GN Solids Control makes oil sludge separation system with equipment same as below photo showing, and with potential for adding chemical dosing and heat to enhance Separation.

GN Solids Control oil sludge separation system is combined with several stage separation equipment, which includes a drying shale shaker, a 2-phase decanter centrifuge, a 3-phase disc stack separator, and chemical dosing unit. The 2-phase decanter centrifuge is used to remove solids down to approx 10 micron. The Solids % the 3-phase disc stack separator can handle is 3%. The less the better.

Also there is a gravity disc so the users can change the interphase to go out with the oil to ensure the water phase is a clean as possible hopefully 5ppm. The dewatering chemical dosing system is used for Chemicals to enhance mechanical separation could be either powder or liquid form.

Oilfield vertical cuttings dryer to treat fresh drill cuttings

GN Solids Control vertical cuttings dryer is major separation equipment for oil and gas drilling mud system.

The vertical cuttings dryer can be used after solids control shale shaker, mud cleaner, desander and desilter to treat the drill cuttings discharged from the mentioned solids control equipment. While used after drilling mud solids control system, screw conveyor is the most popular transfer device to collect drilling mud and feed to the hopper of vertical cuttings dryer.

Besides used after drilling mud solids control system, GN vertical cuttings dryer is also popular for waste pit with drill cuttings and oil sludge. GN Solids Control is willing to share clients with GN Solids Control experience with the vertical cuttings dryer and other drilling waste management equipment.

Sometimes, clients may do the project to treat fresh drill cuttings. For example, GN Solids Control did a project to treat the drill cuttings which contains about 20% diesel and 15% water by volume in percentage %. The client provides video to GN Solids Control to get an idea about the project and the material.

Per requested by the contract, clients are need to process the drill cuttings by removing the oil and the water. The TPH of the solids is supposed to be less than 1%. Under the contract, after treatment, clients are to keep the diesel and water which are removed from the fresh drill cuttings. They can use the recovered diesel and water, or sell them to others.

GN vertical cuttings dryer can separate the drill cuttings and reduce the oil content to 3% ~ 5%. After VG dryer separation, the usable drilling mud can be collected, and further separated to diesel and water, the drill cutting volume is much less. And the oil contend is reduced from 20% to be less than 5%. It is easy for thermally desorbing the dried solids.

The suggested idea is to process the drill cuttings first with a GN Solids control vertical cutting dryer. After vertical cuttings dryer, the solids can be dried by thermal desorb unit.
 

GN big bowl decanter centrifuge for wastewater treatment to Yunan Client

The 2 decanter centrifuge is GNLW554EP, a 22 inch big bowl decanter centrifuge. It is a model specially designed for waste water treatment. The normal bowl length and diameter ratio is around 3. The bowl length and diameter ratio of GNLW554EP is up to 4. It means the slurry has to go through a longer route after entering into the centrifuge bowl. In this case, the slurries have a longer time for separation while going through the centrifuge. The recovered water is cleaner. And the discharged soil cake is dryer.

How to do dewatering treatment from used drilling mud from oil well drilling

GN Solids Control offers 2 proposals to treat slurries without oil, like to treat the used drilling mud, like drilling mud from oil well drilling, from construction field, from piling, or industry waste water.

The first option is GNWTU-50A Wastewater Treatment Unit very Economic. It is a sample separation by settlement. The solids discharge from GNWTU-50A Wastewater Treatment Unit is very wet. The recovered water is not clear. The chemical dosing unit is manually. And the solids and water quality after separation cannot be adjusted. Below are some feature of GNWTU-50A Wastewater Treatment Unit.

The chemical dosing unit is suitable for liquid chemical only. The Unit is a special designed for construction mud settlement, industrial waste water settlement. Maximum discharge rate up to 50m3/h.

The chemically enhanced separation reduces the suspended solids content below 50 mg/litre so that the treated water can be either discharged into the public drainage system or recycled for further use.

If the clients do not have high separation demands for the recovered water, they only want to separate as more waste water as apossible with the low cost, they can choose GNWTU-50A Wastewater Treatment Unit.

Another option is Chemical enhanced decanter centrifuge separation. It is precision separation. The solids discharged from chemical enhanced decanter centrifuge are dryer, and the recovered water is clean. But the cost is higher. As the chemical dosing system is in this proposal is automatically and all components are fixed into a 20ft fabricated container.

The decanter centrifuge is high speed C/W VFD control panel. The discharge solids and water quality can be adjusted while adjusting the centrifuge bowl speed and conveyor speed. The solids and water quality can also be adjusted while the feeding rate is changed. The less the feeding rate, the better the separation result (the solids is more dryer and water the clearer).
