Not long ago, GN after sale service team came back from Transocean Offshore Rig jobsite in America, bring back valuable feedback and data. On this jobsite, they are using GN’s decanter centrifuge.This decanter centrifuge GNLW363-VFD, with max rotating speed 3900 RPM. This centrifuge is ideal solution for such application, besides the traditional application as solids control and waste management. Because of the VFD control system, this centrifuge’s speed ranges from 0 to 3200, could be used for separating the large and heavy particles and ultra fine small particles.

The end user has 2 centrifuges of similar treating capacity on this working jobsite. One is from GN Solids Control ,the other is from Baker Hudges. Normally, the run one of the 2 centrifuges and the other is used like backup centrifuge. In most cases, the capacity of one set is enough. When the treating capacity requested is larger, they run both of them together. The ender user was surprised that Chinese brand centrifuge could be equivalent as the Baker Hudges one. Before using GN’s centrifuge, they hesitated for a while and finally decided to trust and try. GN didn’t fail them.

They got to know GN’s quality, but there is one thing they didn’t know, that also Baker Hudges is GN’s client and end user of GN decanter centrifuge. Now there are four sets of GN Waste Management Systems running at Nabor’s jobsite, where Baker Hudges is providing service.

Drill Cuttings Separation, DO IT with Chemicals

The liquid, which will contain oil, water and some chemical is then pumped to a settling tank.

 

Then as all know, before dumping the waste to the environment, solidification, thermal desorption, or biodegradation; thermal desorption is by heating, biodegradation is using germs, solidification is the most convinient and easy to be widely used. Where to install the shale shaker in oil field

The first -time set-up of the shale shaker

When first set-up the shale shaker, it needs keep put the shaker on a leveled surface.
The shock-resist rubber materialsneed be installed between the box and bracket.
Remove the shipping brace like bolt and lug, because the base and screen box are connected by springs, so when ship, the above part of the equipment is secured by the shipping brace.
Remove all the shipping braces before operate the shale shaker.
The motor cables connected the vibration motors on the shale shaker always damaged during severe vibration.Cable coversare provide and need to install with cables when connect control panel and the motors
When stop using the shale shaker, the shale shaker screen should always be washed by clean water.  It also needs to use diesel fuel to clean the screen first, and then water when treating oil-base fluid.

Install the wedge blocks at the two sides at the same time.

Make sure the wedge blocks are firmly installed before turn on the shale shaker.
Do the test-run after the installation of shaker screen to ensure installation is done corrected .   If there is any unusual noise of poor contact, stop immediately and re-check the installation of shaker screen.
