Waste water Decanter centrifuge and Dosing Unit for Middle East Client

This week, a package of chemical dosing decanter centrifuge system is ready by GN Solids Control. After the final test and inspection before delivery in the factory, the decanter and chemical dosing unit will be deliver to port and export for a Middle East client.

The high speed big bowl decanter centrifuge and chemical dosing system will be used to treat waste water with oil. The slurry and sludge waiting for treatment is generated by Industrial Waste Water Treatment Facility. The wastewater is received from different industries such as Food, Chemicals, Oil and Gas, Workshops,……etc.

Big bowl decanter centrifuge for waste water treatment

The wastewater is generated at the pre-treatment stage of the inlet effluent, which include oil and fat removal, then a chemical treatment by ferric chloride, caustic soda, and polymer.

Before choosing GN Solids Control wastewater decanter centrifuge dewatering unit, the client considered to use screw dryer machine for drying the solid and to reduce the volume to maximum possible solids size.
With the instruction of GN Solids Control, the client test the wastewater by lab tube centrifuge and send the performance data to GN Solids Control engineers. Based on the test data, GN Solids Control recommended big bowl decanter centrifuge GNLW454 which with big ratio of centrifuge bowl diameter and bowl length.

The bowl diameter and bowl length ratio is up to 4. The decanter centrifuge model GNLW454 is specially designed for wastewater and slurry treatment. A Screw pump is used to feed wastewater into decanter centrifuge for dewatering treatment.

Powder chemical mixing and dosing unit

The GNLW454 dewater centrifuge is used together with a 3000L chemical dosing system. The 3000L chemical dosing system is a 3-tank automatic power chemical dosing unit. Unlike normal chemical dosing system use Diaphragm pump as dosing pump, the 3000L 3-tank automatic power chemical dosing unit use screw pump as dosing pump. Although the cost of screw pump is higher than diaphragm pump, the feeding flow screw pump is more stable. The dosing screw pump is controlled by VFD control panel for changing the chemical dosing rate.

Oily sludge separation system for oil sludge and oil slurry treatment

GN oily sludge separation system is widely used to treat oil waste and oil sludge generated from oil and gas drilling, from refinery, from tank cleaning, or to treat the slope oil slurry.

For different kinds of oil slurry and oil sludge, the separation and treatment system is not all the same. And if clients demands for the final output oil, water and sand are different, the processing and oil sludge treatment system will be different.

For international clients who want to get a suitable solution from GN Solids Control for oil sludge and oil slurry treatment, they can send their project and material information to GN Solids Control to let GN engineers know more about the material situation.

Clear photos and videos to show the oil sludge or oil sludge situation. They are for the the raw material that you want to treat by GN Solids Control equipment. If the clients already have some waste management treating equipment, the clients are suggested to send material information before the existing equipment treatment and after the existing equipment treatment.

The clients can stir and heat the oil slurry to 80℃. And show GN Solids Control the situation of the slurry by heating up to 80℃ by photos and videos. It is mainly to see the oil/water/soil settle down situation after heating treatment.

If clients have lab centrifuge or they can find lab centrifuge locally. They can test the material by lab tube centrifuge. Clients can separate the sludge and see if lad centrifuge can separate solids from the sludge. If they cannot find lab tube centrifuge for test. Clients can send a small bottle of material to GN Solids Control to do the test.

Slop Oil Water sludge treatment system for offshore and onshore

GN Solids Control is a professional manufacturer on drilling mud solids control, drilling waste management and oily sludge separation. Below are some of the normal questions clients want to get answers from GN Solids Control:

Q 1: What is included in the scope supply and what is the scope of components in the skid, agitation, level controls, flow meter, oil/water monitoring discharge?
GN Solids Control: There are totally 6 modules for a full package oil sludge treatment system.

Vacuum pump for solids and sludge transfer

1. Sludge vacuum pump feeding module;
2. Pre-mixing and heating module;

Q 2: Is there chemical injection dosing pumps.
GN Solids Control: Chemical dosing pumps and control panels for dewatering unit are all included in the Containerized Chemical Dosing System. All pipelines, electrical controls, valves, level meters are included in the package. For powder chemical and liquid chemicals, the chemical dosing system is different.

Q 3: Is there a heating coil in the tanks.
GN Solids Control: Heating coil (pipeline) included in the pre-mixing and heating tank. Heating machine excluded.

Q4: What is the pitch of the Decanter conveyor (scroll), or the Distance between scroll edge and bowl?
GN Solids Control: It is less than 1.2 mm

Q 5: The Slop Oil Package as you state is for drilling slops, has it ever been used for crude oil slops.

Q 6: PLC for equipment would be required to be English.

Decanter Centrifuge and sludge transfer pump for Environmental Engineering Company

GN Solids Control makes different sizes of Decanter Centrifuge and sludge transfer pumps. This weeks, some sets of Decanter Centrifuge and sludge transfer pump are ready for shipment, they will be exported to overseas clients which is an Environmental Engineering Company.

Below is the list of the Decanter Centrifuge and sludge transfer pump for the international Environmental Engineering Company:

1) Some sets of separation decanter centrifuge
It is a single motor small bowl high speed decanter centrifuge for 2-phase liquid and solids separation. The centrifuge model is GNLW224. It is a 9 inch baby centrifuge. GN Solids Control can make fixed speed control and variable frequency speed control for the small centrifuge. The centrifuge is widely used for waste oil and waste water treatment, like for environment protection companies, mining industries, and waste water treatment companies. It can also be used together with chemical dosing system for dewatering treatment.

2) Solids and sludge vacuum transfer pump
It is mobile type vacuum pump specially designed for high solids content liquid and solids transfer. The typical advantages of GN Solids Control vacuum pump is that, its suction length can up to 50 m. The discharge distance can up to 500 m or 1000 m depending on the pump models.

As the request from clients, GN Solids Control specially designed a vacuum sludge pump for Bilge sludge Cleaning and for vessel tank bottom cleaning. The cuction length of the bilge sludge vacuum pump can up to 80 m.

3) Centrifugal transfer pump
Centrifugal pump is also called as sand pump. It is widely used for slurry transfer and for mixing pump of mixing system.

GN Solids Control is also capacity to make explosion proof electrical control panels. GN Solids Control makes control panel to start and stop the centrifugal transfer pump. For easy layout, GN Solids Control makes customized pump base to support the centrifugal pump and control panel. The control panel and centrifugal pump motor is connected by cable when delivery from GN Solids Control factory. In this case, clients only need to connect the control panel to job site power supper, and then they can start to run the pump.

7500BBL Liquid mud plant for South America

In October, a set of 7500bbl liquid mud plant was delivered from GN Solids Control headquarter in Beijing. The 7500bbl liquid mud plant is only a part of a 30000 BBL big projects.

The 7500bbl liquid mud plant is composed of below items:
1) Quantity 14 vertical storage tank for water, brine and drilling mud storage.

The usable capacity of each vertical tank is 500bbl. Total usable volume of the 14 vertical storage tank is 7000bbl. The 14 ea vertical mud tank is located in 2 lines for a minimized footprint. Compared with traditional horizontal mud tank, vertical tank can save space greatly.

The 14 vertical storage tanks are all designed with magnetic flap level gauges to measure and display the liquid level. On the other side of the storage tank, a horizontal placement is designed. When the storage tank needs to be placed horizontally, the horizontal placement can ensure the stability of the storage tank. Centrifugal pump can be used to suck and discharge drilling mud from the storage tank, or to suck the mud from the mixing tank.

2) 500BBL horizontal mixing tank
The mixing tank contains two sets of non-interference mud mixing system, which are powered by two independent submersible slurry pumps. When one pump fails, the other submersible slurry pump can be easily switched to avoid downtime.

The mixing tank adopts 2 sets of two-impeller mud agitators to prevent the drilling mud from sedimentation. In addition, it is also equipped with 2 mud guns for fixed-point flushing of the corners of the tank.
The top of the mud tank is made of mesh board. This 500BBL mixing tank adopts a skid-mounted structure, with a small rectangular size, and can be moved by a flatbed truck.

Drilling waste vertical cuttings dryer package for oil base mud and cuttings

GN Solids Control waste management vertical cuttings dryer is specially designed for oi base mud and oil base drilling cuttings. Before enter into GN Solids Control vertical cuttings, the oil on the cuttings is around 15% ~ 20%. It is very liquidable. It is difficult for transportation. And very high cost and low efficiency if feed into thermal desorption unit directly.

GN vertical cuttings dryer can reduce the oil on the cuttings from 15% ~ 20% to 3% ~ 5%. Sometimes the OOC is even less than 3%. The discharged solids phase is much easier for transportation. The recovered drilling fluids can be reused and it is valuable. It saves clients mud cost. With less than 5% OOC, the drilling cuttings can be discharged directly, or covered by cement or do solidification treatment. Even if they need to be treated by thermal desorption unit or by Microbial treatment, it is much small volume.

GN Solids Control uses German Brand NETZSCH pump as flush pump for the vertical cuttings dryer. Gearbox of the screw pump is also German brand NORD.

GN Solids Control makes telescopic skid to hold the vertical cuttings dryer. It makes the solids discharged fluently, and the liquid can flow into decanter centrifuge for next stage separation by grave. It save a middle transfer tank, and saves a transfer pump.

GN Solids Control can also offer 0.5 Ton Hand chain hoist for operators to change screen basket. The Hand chain hoist is fixed on the telescopic. There are foldable walkways and guardrails on the skid itself. For inland shipment, clients do not need to remove the vertical cuttings dryer, just fall down the legs of the skid, and fold the guardrails.

GN Solids Control makes various sizes screw conveyor under shale shaker to collect drilling cuttings and feed to the dryer. And there will be another vertical cuttings dryer to transfer the solids from vertical cuttings dryer to other solids skips.

Decanter centrifuge unit for drill cuttings and waste water treatment

During oil base mud and drill cuttings treatment process, high speed decanter centrifuges should be used after vertical cuttings dryer to reduce the mud weight, and make the drilling mud satisfied for reuse.

Recently, GN Solids Control made a small decanter centrifuge test unit for a mud services company to offshore drilling mud treatment. The centrifuge model is GNLW224EP-VFD. It is located on a telescopic skid. The skid is capacity to put a cutting skips under it for holding the recovered drilling mud.

GN Solids Control is capable to make various sizes of decanter centrifuge to meet different job sites request. Below are some high speed decanter centrifuge models GN Solids Control can make:

1) 9 inch. It is the smallest size decanter centrifuge mainly used for waste water and slurry treatment. Per bowl diameter and length ratio, GN offers GNLW223 and GNLW224 series. With fixed speed and VFD control for optional.

2) 14 inch. It is the most popular size for oil gas drilling to treat the drilling mud and drilling cuttings. 3) 18 inch. It is a kind of big bowl centrifuge for fine solids separation and waste treatment. It is also popular used in oil and gas drilling and other kinds of drilling mud processing. It must be VFD control or FHD control for 18 inch big bowl centrifuge as the big motor power. Per bowl diameter and length ratio, GN offers GNLW453 and GNLW454 series.

4) 22 inch. It is a kind of big bowl centrifuge for fine solids separation and waste treatment. It is also popular used in oil and gas drilling and other kinds of drilling mud processing. It must be VFD control for 22 inch big bowl centrifuge as the big motor power. Per bowl diameter and length ratio, GN offers GNLW553 and GNLW554 series.

5) 30 inch. The centrifuge model is GNLW764 series. It is the largest side decanter centrifuge made by GN Solids Control. It is mainly used for slurry treatment for mining, construction waste water, or other industry waste water treatment applications. GN Solids Control can make automatic lubricating system for the largest big bowl centrifuge to user friendly.

Screw Press Sludge Dewatering Machine for food industry in Asia

Recently, a set of Screw Press Sludge Dewatering Machine and a chemical dosing unit were ready for assembly and test in GN Solids Control factory. The screw press sludge dewatering machie and the chemical dosing unit will be sent to a food factory in Southeast Asia for industry waste water treatment.

Recently, two small Screw Press Sludge Dewatering Machine made by GN Solids Control supporting flocculation dosing systems were sold to Southeast Asia and used for wastewater treatment in food factories.

GN Screw Press Sludge Dewatering Machine is an economical and environmentally friendly equipment for sludge dewatering treatment. Centrifuge separation for slop oil treatment system

Many clients contacted GN Solids Control to looking at waste management system that can process Slop Oily Water volume from tanks on FPSOs (floating products solutions), from oil and gas drilling tank cleaning, tank bottom sludge, oil sludge waste pit, etc…There may be crude oil, water, and solids inside the oil sludge.

GN Solids Control makes slop oil treatment system with capacity 1~2 m3 / hr, 5 m3 / hr, and 15 m3 / hr. GN Solids Control makes oil sludge separation system with equipment same as below photo showing, and with potential for adding chemical dosing and heat to enhance Separation.

GN Solids Control oil sludge separation system is combined with several stage separation equipment, which includes a drying shale shaker, a 2-phase decanter centrifuge, a 3-phase disc stack separator, and chemical dosing unit. The 2-phase decanter centrifuge is used to remove solids down to approx 10 micron. The Solids % the 3-phase disc stack separator can handle is 3%. The less the better.

Also there is a gravity disc so the users can change the interphase to go out with the oil to ensure the water phase is a clean as possible hopefully 5ppm. The dewatering chemical dosing system is used for Chemicals to enhance mechanical separation could be either powder or liquid form.

The system capacity is determined by centrifuges which has the min. Handling capacity in the system. Take GNOST-15A oil sludge separation system for example, the processing capacity 15 m3 / Hr means the capacity of Disc Stack separator.

Oilfield vertical cuttings dryer to treat fresh drill cuttings

GN Solids Control vertical cuttings dryer is major separation equipment for oil and gas drilling mud system.

The vertical cuttings dryer can be used after solids control shale shaker, mud cleaner, desander and desilter to treat the drill cuttings discharged from the mentioned solids control equipment. While used after drilling mud solids control system, screw conveyor is the most popular transfer device to collect drilling mud and feed to the hopper of vertical cuttings dryer.

Besides used after drilling mud solids control system, GN vertical cuttings dryer is also popular for waste pit with drill cuttings and oil sludge. GN Solids Control is willing to share clients with GN Solids Control experience with the vertical cuttings dryer and other drilling waste management equipment.

Sometimes, clients may do the project to treat fresh drill cuttings. For example, GN Solids Control did a project to treat the drill cuttings which contains about 20% diesel and 15% water by volume in percentage %. The client provides video to GN Solids Control to get an idea about the project and the material.

Per requested by the contract, clients are need to process the drill cuttings by removing the oil and the water. The TPH of the solids is supposed to be less than 1%. Under the contract, after treatment, clients are to keep the diesel and water which are removed from the fresh drill cuttings. They can use the recovered diesel and water, or sell them to others.

GN vertical cuttings dryer can separate the drill cuttings and reduce the oil content to 3% ~ 5%. After VG dryer separation, the usable drilling mud can be collected, and further separated to diesel and water, the drill cutting volume is much less. And the oil contend is reduced from 20% to be less than 5%. It is easy for thermally desorbing the dried solids.

The suggested idea is to process the drill cuttings first with a GN Solids control vertical cutting dryer. After vertical cuttings dryer, the solids can be dried by thermal desorb unit.
